And because this is Sonos, you can even expand to a 5.1 system with ease - simply add a SUB and a pair of PLAY:1s! The Playbase can also form part of your Sonos wireless home sound system, so you can stream music directly to the Playbase from over 30 different online streaming services, so you don't just have a TV sound system - you have a total sound system in a compact form under your TV. And the whole multiroom system can be simply controlled from your smartphone or tablet.

The Playbase delivers a huge sound, thanks to an array of 10 amplified speakers: 6 midrange, 3 tweeters and a woofer for a deep, resonant bass and room-filling sound. The custom-designed drivers deliver crisp audio, but the Playbase also features a Speech Enhancement mode to help ensure that you never miss a word of on-screen dialogue. A Night Sound function helps to enhance quiet sounds and reduce the intensity of louder sounds - perfect for ensuring that you can hear every detail without waking up the entire household when you're binge-watching box-sets late at night.
