Once registered to the Home Connect app, you'll be able to download additional cooking programmes and even monitor and control your oven directly through the Home Connect app of your phone or tablet. To help monitor your cooking and baking, the oven features Siemens' bakingSensor Plus and roastingSensor Plus - so that you know your oven is giving you accurate cooking information. It's even incredibly easy to keep your oven interior clean, thanks to pyrolytic and hydrolytic cleaning programmes. If you've cooked somthing particularly messy or feel your oven is due a deep clean, then the pyrolytic programme is perfect - the oven heats to incredibly high temperatures to burn off baked-on food residue, turning it to a fine ash that can then be simply wiped away once the oven has cooled. When a less intensive clean is required, you can add water and a drop of detergent to the oven - which will then heat up and vapourise the liquid - softening any food residue in the process, so that it can be easily wiped away.
